Rubber & Sponge Rubber Sheeting Plastics Laminates

At ABG we specialise in supplying a wide range of solid and expanded rubber sheeting, closed cell, open cell and reticulated sponge/foam sheeting, rubber matting and associated gasket/sealing products from stock or through one of our respected suppliers. Laminates
To meet the ever increasing demands of our customers we can supply a full range of laminates and non metallic engineering materials in either stock shape form or as a finished machined component. Stockholding and Distribution
With over 30 years experience in the distribution of rubber and plastic materials our fully trained staff can offer quotations for cut to size sheet, block, strip, coils and billeted rods with advice and guidance on the suitability of materials in differing applications. From extremes of temperature to chemical resistance and dimensional stability ABG can provide the answers to your questions.


Rubber and Sponge Conversion
The use of steel cutting forms enables ABG to produce gaskets and seals from our stock range of materials handling up to 25mm in solid and 50mm in the expanded sponges. Thin plastic sheet can also be processed as a cost effective alternative to machining. The "Travelling Head", "Swing Arm" and "Roller" presses are supported with slitting, drilling and hand cut work, giving this section a full complement of options to meet our customers requirements.


Extrusions & Mouldings
With a long history of supply in these products our library of available extrusion and moulding dies is now vast with existing tooling potentially available to match the customers needs.
Examples of profiles include U Channels, D Sections ,P Sections, Edge Trim , Solid and Expanded Cord, Square Channels, Glazing Profiles, Bead Extrusions, T Sections, L Sections and many more.


Food Preparation Boards
For well over 20 years ABG have manufactured the "Harriesboard" range of food preparation boards. Manufactured from High-Density Polyethylene these boards are so dense that liquids cannot penetrate them and therefore cannot harbour food poisons (non-absorbent). This material is also non-toxic and so if ingested it will not poison the recipient.
Dense enough to withstand the use of very sharp kitchen knives and yet not so hard as to damage their edges although the boards will mark / score with normal use but not break up under heavy commercial use for the normal life of this product. Obviously this will vary dependant on what product is being prepared.
The range of boards are colour coded to differentiate between different foods ie raw meat, cooked meat, raw fish, fruit & salad, vegetables and dairy products. This helps avoid cross contamination, with the colour pigments in the ABG "Harries Boards" food safe as well.
Harries Boards are available in five standard sizes, three thicknesses and six colours but can also be made to customer sizes and specifications . We can also supply them as butcher blocks and table tops and with rolling pins and paddles available in the same material.
Racks are also available for holding boards after cleaning as they keep each board separate preventing contamination / cross contamination of surfaces.



Matting & Curtains
Available in both roll format and moulded tiles rubber and polymeric floor matting now form part of our increasing product portfolio.
