Asbestos Information
Asbestos is a naturally occurring silicate mineral which grows in veins within mesomorphic rock. There are six asbestos types, split into two categories. The commercially used types of asbestos are Chrysotile (white), Amosite (brown) and Crocidolite (blue). Often asbestos fibres are referred to by colour, although this is not visually identifiable.


Asbestos Sampling & Asbestos Testing
If you have a material that you would like testing for the presence of asbestos, we have a service where we visit your site, obtain the sample of the offending material and have the sample analysed within a favoured UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) accredited laboratory.
A certificate of analysis is then produced detailing the asbestos type(s) present within the material, if any. Results are usually available within 24 ? 36 hours from the sample being obtained, although we can offer a rapid turnaround service if required.
