Description

Optic Components
We are a leading manufacturer and supplier of the highest quality optic components. As specialist optic components manufacturers and suppliers, we produce windows, lenses, prisms and specialist optics as both standard products and to the designs of our customers. Our products are used in a wide variety of ultraviolet, visible and infrared optical systems by an equally wide variety of customers all over the world.
We have established a global reputation as a leader in the manufacture of windows, lenses, prisms, ATRs and custom optical components in a broad range of materials including Calcium Fluoride, Magnesium Fluoride, Barium Fluoride, Zinc Selenide, Zinc Sulfide, Germanium and many more materials.

Custom Optical Components
We manufacture and supply a vast range of custom optical components. Due to the nature of the eclectic variety of materials and applications in the IR, UV and visible regions of the spectrum, most of our work tends to be custom-made to specification.

We manufacture in research and prototype quantities and also for production. Some lenses and windows are in constant manufacture and we also have a wide range of windows in stock as a result of production over-runs.

As well as custom optical components, stock components are nearly always available for immediate delivery and are listed on our Stock Optics page.

Barium Fluoride
We have specialist experience with a variety of materials for the production of optical components, including Barium Fluoride. Barium Fluoride is used in spectroscopic components. Barium Fluoride is suitable for applications in the passive IR band (eight to 14 ?m) and is often used as a viewport window for thermography.
For an equivalent thickness, the transmission extends approximately 1 micron further into the IR than Calcium Fluoride. The highest quality Barium Fluoride also has the application as the fastest known scintillator material and is used in high energy physics experiments.

Calcium Fluoride
As well as Barium Fluoride, we also work with Calcium Fluoride. Calcium Fluoride has widespread IR application as spectroscopic CaF2 windows, CaF2 prisms and CaF2 lenses.
Particularly pure grades of Calcium Fluoride (CaF2) find useful application in the UV and as UV excimer laser windows. Calcium Fluoride (CaF2) is available doped with Europium as a gamma-ray scintillator.
