Architectural Services
We are a small friendly architectural (Charterd Architectural Technologists) practice and our fees are competitive. We offer clients a complete professional architectural service from inception, including measured building and land surveys, to completion using other professional consultants as part of the design team where necessary. Each project is different and a written quotation is provided for consideration following an initial meeting. Drawings can be produced manually or as for most projects in CAD. CDM co-ordinator services are undertaken, where applicable for commercial projects, if we are engaged to carry out a full service up to the completion of the works on site. Many commissions are ?permissions only? appointments whereby we are engaged up to the planning permission and Building Regulations approval stage.
The practice was formed in Dorchester in 1982 by David Shaw as a sole practitioner. In 1987 David was joined by an Architectural Technologist partner and the practice was named the ?David Shaw Partnership?. In 1995 David Shaw once again became the sole proprietor whilst retaining the established practice name.
The practice undertakes commissions of any size and type upto a building contract value of circa ?2,000,000 and has professional indemnity insurance of ?1,000,000.
