Insectomat
The Insectomat improves detection of insects at intake, ensures better quality control, prevents infested grain being added to clean stock, as well as minimising pesticide usage and eliminating the need for costly fumigations. Most importantly, pest detection will allow stores, mills and export silos to ensure that they do not accept or supply customers with infested grain.


Insectomat 10K Insect Detection System
The INSECTOMAT 10K is a sophisticated reciprocating sieve which allows insects to be extracted from large samples of grain. It processes up to 10kg of sample in less than 2 minutes, and is ideally suited to assessing samples at intake. Extensive testing has confirmed that a single insect in a 10kg sample will be extracted. This equates to detecting insects at densities of 0.1 insects / kg.


Insectomat 5K Insect Detection System
The INSECTOMAT 5K is a sophisticated vibratory sieve which allows insects to be extracted from large samples of grain. Developed in conjunction with Home-Grown Cereals Authority, it processes up to 5kg of sample and is ideally situated to assessing samples at the laboratory. Extensive testing has confirmed that a single insect in a 5kg sample will be identified and extracted.
In addition to being highly accurate, tests have proved the Insectomat is up to 180 times quicker than the Berlses Funnel Method.
