Formed in 1987, Loxwood Contacts was set up by Marcus Macleod and Ray Wood, who brought together a team with over 100 years experience in the manufacture, metallurgy and marketing of electrical contacts. The Company has since developed and expanded and is now equipped with state-of-the-art manufacturing technology and sophisticated quality control methods, registered BS EN ISO 9002.

From aerospace to domestic switching applications, the company has a commanding position in a highly competitive market, with an extensive customer base throughout all sectors of the electrical engineering industry.

Loxwood has a close association with the aerospace industry, in particular, which demands the highest levels of quality and reliability in areas such as material traceability and stores and handling procedures. Over the years, the company has gained considerable experience in this field through its dealing with aerospace manufacturers and sub-contractors and, to support its commitment to this market, Loxwood has extended its scope of registration, under BS EN ISO 9002 to include the requirements of TS 157, specifically to include aerospace components.
