About Solar Energy SEC Centre
SEC Solar Energy Centre has been involved with Solar Photovoltaic systems and Batteries since 1977, having originally been established by the current family owners to supply remote Solar PV powered Telecom and Cathodic protection systems to the Middle East market. The business grew rapidly and expanded around the world, with its head office today located near London, UK and regional offices in Paris, Bahrain and Hong Kong.
With established distribution and a trusted name for quality and reliability, SEC Solar Energy Centre has continued to develop and refine its range over the years, to the point that we now offer some of the best batteries for solar/renewable energy systems and PV panels that are commercially available.
In 2009 these product families were also joined by a new range of ultra efficient LED based solar powered lighting solutions. The SEC AnyWhere solar powered lighting kits are a unique product for indoor use where connection to the grid is unavailable or unreliable. The Brilliant Solar Powered Street lighting kits are a cost effective, standalone alternative to grid connected street lighting, or for parts of the world where grid connection is not possible.

AnyWhere Solar Lighting Kit
AnyWhere Solar Lighting Kit
In cases where not possible to connect to the mains/grid electricity, AnyWhere solar powered lighting kits are a unique solution that only requires sunlight to provide good quality, reliable light. Supplied fully ready-to-use, each kit contains the following:
Solar Panel (3Wp or 50kJ/day -12Wp or 200kJ/day) AnyWhere LED light(s) each with integrated batteries Terminal hub for additional connections/flexibility All connection cables with easy twist-fit connectors Ceiling mounting bracket (one per light) and fixings AnyWhere light kits are sold in kits of 1, 2, 3 or 4 lights, with the solar panel sized and additional components included accordingly.

Ultra Efficient IP65 Rated LED street light with solar panel and battery storage Provides sufficient light throughout the night, even in low sun conditions Cost effective, standalone solution wherever street lighting is required The SEC Brilliant Solar Street Lighting System is an integrated IP65 rated kit designed to provide a cost effective, standalone solution to all street lighting requirements. Using the most efficient LED lamps available mated to a solar panel and high quality battery, this product is not only an environmentally friendly option (requiring no power input) but can also be located anywhere regardless of local grid availability.
Engineered by SEC to provide sufficient lighting whatever the weather conditions, Brilliant Solar Street Lights are also supplied with an electronic controller that automatically turns the unit on and off whenever necessary, and regulates the brightness of the lamp to ensure maximum efficiency. Like all SEC products, the Brilliant Solar Street Lighting System has also been designed with reliability and low maintenance in mind throughout the life of the product.

The Brilliant Solar Lighting system is supplied as a fully integrated kit, including the following:
Solar Panel(s) (Capacity 800kJ/day - 3200kJ/day) Ultra efficient LED light unit High quality Battery or Batteries (size dependant) Electronic controller with Battery Optimising System Two lamp sizes are available depending on the lighting requirements, although multiple lamp units per pole can be specified if additional brightness is required. All other components are sized accordingly to ensure optimum results in every case.
Poles and fixings are not normally supplied as it is anticipated that these can be sourced locally. However, detailed drawings and specifications are available to assist customers on request .


Solar Batteries
There are many Stationary Industrial battery manufacturers in the World more than 90% of these companies manufacture AGM batteries for standby applications. However less than 10% of stationary battery manufacturers manufacture both standby AGM and deep cycle Gel batteries. The use of AGM batteries in deep cyclic applications is short sighted because the AGM batteries will fail prematurely indeed the AGM battery capacity will start to reduce from the day of installation.
The use of deep cycle batteries using gelled electrolyte technology is essential for batteries to be cycled daily SEC offer a full range of deep cycle Gel batteries suitable for use with solar.
Typically the 6 volt and 12 volt Monobloc Gel batteries can be deep cycled 500 to 600 x 80% daily cycles. The 2 volt cells use extra heavy duty plates and can be cycled 1200 x 80% daily cycles.
