Description
Ultrasonic Welding
Ultrasonic welding joins plastics by rapidly transmitting ultrasonic energy through a shaped tool or "horn". This ultrasonic energy, in the form of mechanical vibrations, creates friction between the two plastic parts which, in turn, generates heat to melt and permanently fuse the two parts with one another. Ultrasonic Welding Equipment
Sonics ultrasonic equipment is supplied with a choice of several different power supplies. The power supplies are available with outputs of 400 and 800 watts at 40 kHz, 1200, 1700, 2200 and 3500 watts at 20 kHz, and 3500 and 4500 watts at 15 kHz .
In addition to the above we also manufacture hand held ultrasonic Miniprobes for small welding and liquid processing applications.
Ultrasonic Metal Welding
Ultrasonic Metal Welding Equipment supplied for the welding of non ferrous materials for welding conductive metals such as copper, aluminium, nickel, silver and more. Sonics offers a complete line of welders, tooling and fixturing including Spot Welders, Wire Splicers, Seam Welders, Tube Sealers & Battery Pack Welders.
Spin Welding
The Sonics and Materials high torque Spin Welding Machines are designed to accommodate a wide range of spherical and cylindrical applications. 2 standard PLC-controlled spin welder models are available as well as custom units for the demands of automated in-line assembly systems and long extrusions that call for horizontally oriented machines.
Ultrasonic Tooling
Custom designed tooling to suit all ultrasonic metal or plastic welding applications in a range of materials and frequencies. Tooling designed with the use of Finite Element Analysis can be supplied for the more difficult applications.
