Universal Engineering is an engineering service provider with a mix of expert manufacturing capabilities that support the needs of our sub-sea, oil and gas, renewable energy, defence and aerospace customers.
Founded on our core competence of value engineering and project management, we build systems, manufacture components and programme work packages for customers who require high quality, documentation intensive service where our ability to help them optimise design for manufacture is important.
We seek to mitigate programme risk wherever possible by integrating manufacturing and inspection processes, avoiding hand-offs and transport delays associated with the use of many specific suppliers.
This links with our capabilities to offer design services evidenced by our leadership in the design of high mobility trailers for the Ministry of Defence and the development of the Ranger, the next generation of armoured fighting vehicles. We also provide services to create technical publication, document scanning, archiving and retrieval.
As part of the Bland Group of businesses, we are able to invest in our key customer relationships, establishing the business case and project plans to develop lean production capabilities that specifically meet customer cost, delivery and programme targets. This is evidenced by our current establishment of an electrical harness production facility for an aerospace customer which we are growing and adapting to meet the needs of other customers with electrical harness requirements.
