CNC Routing
Whether you require a plug or a pattern, the basis for a fibreglass mould or a prototype in foam or polystyrene, we can probably help you.
SMP (Seamless Modelling Paste) EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) Using 5 axis cutting technology, CNC Routing and up to date 3D software, we are able to process most 3D file types and produce the most complicated of shapes.


Metal Spraying
The CNC Factory can not only machine polystyrene and foam for you, we can also supply a metal hardcoat. This coating can be used for practical reasons, i.e. as a hardcoat giving you a surface you can use to make a mould from or paint, or as a decorative finish which can be sanded or aged.
The metal coating can be polished like any metal surface. Finishes include zinc, copper, brass and aluminium.
The thickness of the coating can be varied from less than half a millimetre up to several millimetres thick, meaning you keep all the detail in whatever we have machined.
In addition, if you have an existing piece or model you would like to have sprayed in metal, that is not a problem either. Please call or e-mail us for a quote or to get further information on what is possible.
Virtually any surface can be spray coated in metal, including foam, polystyrene, wood, plastics, metal and even paper!

3D Scanning And Copying
If you have a maquette or model that you want enlarged or reduced that is no problem for the CNC Factory.
At the CNC Factory we have experience of making models up to 30 feet high from a maquette or model.
The process begins by taking a 3d laser scan of the model, and then using our 3d cad/cam software we are able to clean up the model and produce files and toolpaths to enable us to accurately replicate the scan in polyurethane foam or expanded polystyrene.
This process is perfect for making accurate armatures for sculptures.
